Planning Commission Meeting Tuesday, September 7, 7 p.m. at City Hall
Please plan to attend to show support, or speak in support, of preserving the rural nature of the English Road recreational corridor. We expect organized support for the planned development of a large church on English Road—horsemen and others interested in keeping this area as is should attend to express our views and counter the proposed developers.
For more information on this matter, see below on Save Our Street. There is a very small group of residents and visitors to Chino Hills working hard to preserve this area—please help us.
Chino Hills 7/20/10 Planning Commission Meeting Report
We had an amazing turnout of more than 125 people who love the English Road area... And so many spoke, so eloquently and so sincerely and so beautifully on both the spirit and the law that makes our community unique and worth preserving.
The Planning Commission did a great job of asking, learning, and thinking about a complex situation. After 3 3/4 hours of discussion and public comments, they voted to continue the hearing until Tuesday, September 7 so they can gather more information about many points that were raised.
So, a great deal of important information was presented, but there is still much work to do before the next meeting to Save Our Street. More news to follow, but please SAVE THE DATE SEPTEMBER 7 for the next Chino Hills planning commission meeting.
A very special thanks to Colleen Doan, our city planning consultant (and hunter rider at Coyote Creek!) for her extraordinary efforts on behalf of the Chino Hills Horsemen's Association.
Please note that it is not too late to send letters in opposition to the proposed large church on English Road. See "Just Say Whoa" note below for sample letters and contact information.
Please plan to attend the next Planning Commission meeting. We need to make sure it doesn't look like interest is falling off on this issue. Meeting may be rescheduled, check here for updates.
